Aaargh. Another one of those shots where you're just like, how the hell should I categorize this?!?
Very minimal editing was done on this shot. Clearly, this guy's been through the mill a bit.
EDIT: Ended up burning in the bright spot on the ball...decided that it was way too bright for what I wanted. ^_^;

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI just like this. Nice, muted palette; pretty good composition; straight to the point. It even looks as though the baseball has a smile on it, as if to say "I did what I was made for." It almost has a message to give the viewer. Normally I hate pretentious message shots, but this avoids the pretentious jerk factor entirely. Its a baseball, a very American image that is proud and well done. You can really tell that this ball was well loved and appreciated and it may have been a toy for both people and a pet. This really is a good shot. Kudos.
